Kindle Advertising Strike Against Apple’s iPad Tablet is Misdirected
Category: Free Gifts, Free iPad, iPad Apps, iPad News, TechnologyAmazon grabbed popular validation of the e-reader because of the Kindle and possesses a virtually insurmountable dominance within the market place. However, Amazon seems to have some type of complex about the iPad, as seen by the completely new advertising campaign.
The new Kindle TV ads poke fun at the iPads for free, in particular the glare that happens when trying to use the tablet like an e-reader outside in bright conditions. The backlit liquid crystal display can be a handicap when trying to see the screen in direct natural light, in comparison with the E-Ink screen of the Amazon Kindle.
Even so, the ad is a little inaccurate because the iPad can be a superior browsing platform in a number of cases in which the Kindle is poor, and it is misguided in that the iPad is not really Kindle’s opposition. Even though Apple is concentrating on fighting tablets just like the Samsung Galaxy Tab, Amazon should be focused on the competitors, the Barnes and Noble Nook, and then the Sony Reader being the principle rivals.
The most up-to-date Wi-Fi Kindle is actually a superb product, along with the unique $139 cost will likely allow Amazon to destroy sales stats and distance the working platform away from rivalling e-readers this specific year. It’s, in reality, a superior browsing adventure in comparison with the Apple iPad in dazzling lighting situations like strong sun light.
The iPad is exceptional in various other situations, though. For example, you can easily read on a iPad through the night while in bed without needing to have the lights on because of the backlit display. In marginal lighting conditions, like as regular household lighting or lights on commercial airplanes, the greater image resolution of the iPad provides a much better reading feel. Whenever studying while you’re on the treadmill, you may believe it is much simpler to turn pages by swiping the display than wanting to push the “Next Page” key on a Kindle. There’s also benefits to the Web-surfing features of the iPad when it comes to clicking on footnotes and other reference hyperlinks. The important bad thing is obviously cost, if only we could get free ipads.
The primary comparisons are immaterial, though, because the Kindle and the iPad are not competitors for each other. There aren’t many shoppers looking for an e-reader that will search over and above the Kindle, Nook, and Reader, all accessible for below $200, and choose the iPad instead. Likewise, customers searching for a tablet will not consider a stand alone e-reader being a appropriate choice.

steve. just noticed your blog and main simplyfreeiphone site are different extensions. one a .com and the other a .co.uk
i was wondering if anyone else made other sites and gained them a higher PR to simply send over a few hundred links. now i know huh! lol
It’s not that simple James, nor for the reason you mentioned.
When I first set-up the sites I decided to target the .co.uk domain and redirected the .com to it via 301. In hindsight, I really shold have done things the other way around and would have attracted a lot more US traffic.
As things stand, I have good rankings in Google.com but with a .co.uk site, which proabably puts people off over there.
As a result, I decided to host a blog on the .com and see if I could work on rankings separately.
Google is clever enought to see sites hosted on the same serveers, with the same Who.is ownership, so any cross-linking is of very little value.
If you want to go down that route, grab hold off a load of expired high PR domains, choose to keep your details private when registering and host on different IPs. That way cross linking should work.
Cheers,
Steve
