The free iPhone 4G (or is that free iPhone HD?) is imminent but does anyone actually know what it is capable of?
We already have some details on the iPhone OS 4.0 software release and that brings a wealth of add-ons not currently seen in the free iPhone. Some of those will be dependent upon network operator and the other major rumour right now is a Verizon iPhone.
Top of most commentators lists in iPhone OS 4.0 is multitasking. Is that really essential, we thought it was only women who attempt to do more than one thing at once. Us men prefer to do just one task and get it right don’t we? Maybe we are wrong, perhaps users will want to get e-mails, surf the web and tweet at the same time. Idle thumbs and all that!
What we like most about the new free iPhone 4G features is folders. Oh how we have long to organise our icons and pander to organisational OCD!
iPhone OS 4.0 will also provide a great games station and most will be free iPhone 4G apps.
Unlike previous revisions, the iPhone OS 4.0 update will mean that the free iPhone 4G will work as a VOIP client for Skype, has GPS, 3G support, 3.2 Mega Pixel camera with built in flash, a removable battery, iChat and lots more.
We can’t wait!
