24 The Final Episode, The End Of Jack Bauer?

With just a a few minutes of runtime left, the final ever episode of 24 fittingly focuses on Jack Bauer and Chloe O’Brien, the only two characters remaining from the first season that aired back in 2001.

Credit to Fox Network for turning up the heat in the latter part of day 8 and morhping Jack into a fugitive. No one would doubt that he has done some pretty terrible things in the past but this is the first time that they didn’t seem justified or for the greater good.

So much so that for the first time in nine years there was no happy ending in sight. Many die hard fans will have even started to believe that Jack Bauer dies having lost his shroud of immortality.

I’m not going to spoil the fun for anyone who hasn’t seen the final episode, suffice it to say you will be on the edge of your seats! Like an enthralling novel, you will want to race to the final page, then repent in leisure when you realise that is it, no more.

All I can say is thanks for 192 hours of fantastic entertainment…well, 135 if you watched without ads!
