Is there a new iPhone around the corner?

With MacRumours’ post on the next generation iPhone, revealed in the latest firmware update for the 3G, Apple-head talk has already turned to a new breed of the mighty phone….the iPhone 2.1.
Now with iPhone 3G only just over 6 months old (July 11th to be precise), it is important to remember that these are only rumors….but this doesn’t matter, because us Gaj-Iteers love this sort of thing.
